Live 5 unforgettable days in Catamarca, discovering landscapes that seem to be from another planet, towns with living history and experiences that will surprise you at every step.
We started in the west of Catamarca, traveling through the emblematic Adobe RouteWe will visit old chapels, mansions and the silence of the desert. Then, we go up in a 4×4 to the imposing Pissis Balconyoverlooking the highest dormant volcano in the world.
Relax in the Fiambalá Hot Springsenjoy a dip in the mountains and feel the adrenaline rush with sandboarding in the Saujil Dunes. We also delve into the surreal Pumice Stone Fielda white desert sculpted by volcanoes.
We close our trip with living history: the visit to the Spinning Spiders in Bethlehem and the majestic Ruins of El Shincalan ancient Inca city in the middle of the Argentinean territory.

11:00 h (approx.): Departure from SFVC (downtown hotel or airport). 18:00 h (approx.): Arrival in Tinogasta and accommodation in assigned hotel. Description: After reception, we start our trip to Tinogasta (3:30 h approx.) crossing the foothills along National Route 60. On the way we explore the 3 highlights of the Adobe Route, a heritage circuit where centuries-old chapels, oratories and colonial adobe houses reveal the living history of western Catamarca. We visit places like El Puesto, La Falda and Anillaco, framed by a natural environment that mixes desert, mountains and silence. Overnight at assigned hotel. TINOGASTA
08:00 h (approx.): Departure from Tinogasta. 18:00 h (approx.): Return to assigned hotel in Tinogasta. Description: We travel to the stunning Taton Desert, where some of the highest dunes in the world are found. In the Saujil Dunes, we enjoy a fun sandboarding experience, surrounded by an incredible natural environment. Then, we visited the Fiambalá Hot Springs, a thermal complex nestled in the mountain with natural stone pools and waters ranging from 28°C to 51°C, ideal to relax body and mind. 07:30 h (approx.): Departure from the hotel in Tinogasta. 17:00 h (approx.): Return to the hotel in Tinogasta. Description: We enter the Seismic Route, home to some of the highest volcanoes in the world. Through a 4×4 crossing, we reach the Pissis Balcony, a natural viewpoint at 4,550 meters above sea level, from where we can contemplate Mount Pissis: the highest inactive volcano on the planet (6,792 m). On the way, we cross high Andean lagoons, salt flats and landscapes that seem to be from another world, with the possibility of spotting vicuñas, flamingos and other Andean species. 08:00 h (approx.): Departure from Tinogasta. 19:00 h (approx.): Arrival to Antofagasta de la Sierra. Description: Departure to the Puna Catamarca to experience one of the most impressive treks in the region. The Pumice Stone Field is a unique landscape in the world: thousands of white and pink formations sculpted by the force of ancient volcanoes and wind. Throughout the 4×4 tour we cross salt flats, deserts and volcanoes that offer unreal postcards. An unforgettable experience in the high mountains. Overnight at assigned hotel. BELEN
09:00 h (approx.): Departure from Bethlehem. 17:00 h (approx.): End of the tour. Description: The day begins with a visit to the Arañitas Hilanderas cooperative, where women artisans keep alive the tradition of spinning and weaving on looms. An authentic encounter with the textile culture of Catamarca. Then we explore the imposing ruins of El Shincal de Quimivil, in the town of Londres. This archaeological site was one of the main capitals of the Inca Empire in the south of the continent. We walk among ceremonial structures, deposits and the classic ushnu, from where we contemplate the ancestral environment of the valley. Overnight at SFVC hotel (on your own) or transfer to SFVC airport.
